Straight A's & Boring Days 10.5.15

Hi guys!

Sooo...

I'm proud to announce that I officially have straight A's for the first time in like, forever. Couldn't be happier about it. All of this hard work is paying off. #SeniorYear

Anyways. I also got my iPad!! Which means: mobile Blogger! You guys don't understand (unless you're a fellow blogger, props to you if you are) how irritating it is to not have a way to solidly compose your ideas AWAY from a computer in a way that is easy to transfer. Literally, thank you @ God that I got my iPad back.

School has been...fun? Nah. Not really. My AP Lit class is going to cause serious psychological damage to me before it ends. If I have to annotate one more poem? I'm gonna scream. I annotated "The Waste Land" by T.S. Eliot (good read for those into Greek allusion and whatnot, 10/10 Tori blogposts would recommend!), which is NINETEEN PAGES LONG. IT ISN'T EVEN ENTIRELY WRITTEN IN ENGLISH.

*pats self on back* Good job, Tori!

I also have some rather breaking news.
For those of you who know me personally, you know that I've become more liberal in my opinions and beliefs this year. I've started pondering and decided for myself, and I'm really excited about this whole concept of making my own decisions about things in life.
I registered to vote! Yay!
My political party is presently, um, well, democratic. I'm not full-out liberal on everything, but I'm generally more for the government staying the heck out of people's lives. To each their own.

I've also started a new TV series, blah blah blah.
Oh, and the babes come back on Supernatural this week!
...I really need higher priorities.

I don't really have a topic today. It's Monday, I have a really annoying AP Literature teacher that makes me want to abandon everything and drop out, and I just want to take off my makeup and nap for two days.

Like, we're reading Macbeth and it literally is just making my life long and boring. I absolutely love Shakespearean writing, and I understand it pretty well. I'm just tired of other people not paying attention and then relying on me for the answers to the questions that they can't answer.

I am not your brain. I am your classmate.

*sigh* Hashtag adult life, right? :(

ALSO I TOOK THE ACT.
PRAY FOR MY RESULTS, OMG. I'M SO NERVOUS ABOUT IT.

I guess I will pop in with a topic really quick.
Liars suck.
Don't lie to me, or provide misinformation for me.
Or anyone in my family.
That ticks me off, like, a lot.

I'm not gonna dwell on this or rant, but yeah. People who lie deserve to be punched in the throat and forgotten about. Just saying. ^_^

Anywaaaays.... I met Homer Hickam Friday at school.
Two authors in less than a month, go Tori!

I need to make a checklist of people I want to meet. Presently, Tyler Oakley and John Green rest atop that list. I just feel like the stuff that they've done/written/posted has caused a significant amount of personal gain in my life to be grateful for.

Also, on a random note, let this be my written affirmation that things CAN and DO happen, even when there seems to be no way for it. Especially when you seek a God for the answers, and especially still when you have faith.
And believe you me, I have faith to move mountains right now regarding the provision of something for my brother and I.

Matthew 21:22 "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."

Thanks as always for reading, I'll come back with something valuable to say sooner or later.

Love,
Tori.
<3
